Turns Out there’s Lottttttttssss Of cash To Be Made In T-Shirts

Really the t-shirt business is horrible. Stay away. Tons of cash to lose. I have been in it for 4 years and poverty is just across the nook.

There is no longer an enormous demand for t-shirts because the hip hop business is suffering too. Russell Simmons bought Phat Farm and Marc Ecko needed to sell off some of his belongings and firms a couple of years in the past.

Earlier than starting any business read up on tendencies and consider supply and demand.

Re: Such ignorance

Such ignorance certainly. You’re proper, t-shirts will not make an artist rich. However you aren’t paying attention to this text and others concerning scarce goods versus infinite good in a financial mannequin.

Andy Warhol made little or nothing (comparatively) from the t-shirts with his iconic Campbell’s tomato soup can on them. But the popularization this produced elevated the worth of his work tremendously. Mr. Warhol was not a very nice artist. He was, maybe, the greatest producer and marketer of artwork that has ever lived.

Create a demand on your work by having it associated with somebody or one thing well-known. Get a publicist to create media hype in the course of the silly season when media are desperate for any content. Get your art on a hundred,000 t-shirts and sell them at cost. Your subsequent painting will sell for a million dollars. FYI – you do need to have some talent and please serious artwork critics.

Copyleft t-shirts……

#18 Go proper forward

Re: #18 Go proper forward

Who instructed you I am a “small” guy? (Ok. I’m small, however I’m not entering shirt enterprise both).

Allow us to say wal-mart decides to do the identical. They co-place cds and t-shirts. If apple ever needs to enter music shirt enterprise all they have to do is put a hyperlink on iTunes.

Apart from music there’s huge demand for sitcom/movie-associated shirts which does not have stay occasions.

Anyways, I do not think the copyright regime shouldn’t be going to end anytime soon. Musician and content material-creators shall be making a living by selling content material and they won’t must sell shirts for a residing.

You see what occurred there?

I guess that might happen..

Re: I guess that will happen..

The current situation may be very similar to ‘industrial-only’ copyright mannequin. Even at the moment I do not think tshirt corporations are going to sue you should you copy their design on your shirt. And ban of p2p sharing of music is non-enforceable (If the sharer makes use of minimal security measure he/she is just not going to be caught by authorities). Some (silly) people are nonetheless afraid of MPAA and a few just like the comfort of shopping for (slightly than going via pains of pirating), and these are the individuals buying. However eradicating copyright regime would change both of these and majority would not pay.

T-shirts

Nameless Coward, 30 Nov 2008 @ 2:46pm

Re: T-shirts

Thanks Janine!

Irony…. virtually none of your fashions wear t-shirts (or any sort of shirts).

Additionally, are the chicks included with clothing or they should be purchased separately?

T Shirts May be profitable

Peter, 24 Sep 2015 @ 4:40am

Re: T Shirts Can be worthwhile

I love stories like yours. Somebody may make so much cash from a intermodal transport container-load of T-Shirts from China, ”He made a great residing from his small business, and put every of his eight kids through private schools, paid off the constructing mortgage, purchased a pleasant house in a nice neighborhood, and gave a lot of money to the church, and worked the hours he felt like working. Then he offered the building to a bank and retired.” However it is both fantasy or their is a complete lot extra to this story than you report.

Re:

Severely, it’s a nasty joke to suppose this is in any respect useful to 95% of working musicians out there.

And are you able to point out *where* I really mentioned that it is helpful to working musicians?

Oh, right, you can’t. As a result of I didn’t. The truth is, I stated it is in all probability not an excellent mannequin for many musicians.
